My name is Marta Węglewska.
I hold a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Arts in English Philology. Additionally, I have completed studies in Oligophrenopedagogy, which provides me with specialized preparation for working with students with diverse educational needs, including individuals on the autism spectrum.
For 24 years, I have been dedicated to teaching chemistry, and for the past 16 years, I have been preparing students from around the globe for the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. The synergy of my chemical and linguistic education allows me to work seamlessly with curricula and materials in English, while my pedagogical experience enables me to tailor my teaching approach to each student's individual needs.
In my teaching philosophy, my primary focus is on fostering a deep understanding of chemistry, rather than rote memorization of formulas. I expect commitment and systematic work from my students, but I hold myself to equally high standards. I value thoroughness, consistency, and clearly defined objectives.
Chemistry offers a remarkable opportunity to delve beneath the surface of everyday phenomena and comprehend the underlying mechanisms that are not immediately apparent. This is precisely the aspect of chemistry that I aim to reveal to my students.
In life, as in my professional endeavors, I enjoy setting ambitious goals. My passion lies in mountains and climbing – activities that demand concentration, perseverance, and a continuous pushing of personal boundaries.
